10. Let Children Be Bored
When my daughter was younger and she would announce, "I'm bored," I'd throw my hands in the air and cheer.
And I in turn gave her the same exact response every single time, "Terrific!" I'd say. "Because out of boredom comes creativity."
That is so true. Our children are busy, busy, busy these days, but they also need that downtown, that quiet and yes sometimes even total boredom to spark and ignite their creativity.
